John’s experience, knowledge and technical skill have made him one of London’s most sought after Food Stylists.

He has worked on some of the biggest and best Print, Social and TV commercial campaigns for food and drink brands in the UK, Europe and Worldwide with some of the worlds best Photographers and Directors, Production Companies and Advertising Agencies.

He has written and published several cookery books and styled many more others in both Paris and London and contributed to titles such as The Guardian, The Sunday Times, Marie Claire, Grazia, Saveurs, British Airways to name a just a few.

John’s personal work as an artist/filmmaker is all about exploring our human interactions and emotional connection with food and eating. In recent years John has developed a fascination for ASMR, and how technology such as 3D photomodelling and other techniques can open up the possibilities to create in new and exciting ways.

His film Unwrapped recently won best spot at the Matera Arts Film Festival in Italy. A perfect example of John’s very open and playful approach to filmmaking too. Bold, bright, sexy and a lot of fun. Shooting food can sometimes be a messy business!

John loves working with performance and acting talent. Having a confident, calm and approachable personality really helps create authentic and believable feel to his films. John would love to work more with actors or people in general and explore longer format filmmaking both commercially and in his personal work.

At ease and happy working on large or small sets, adaptable and flexible when it comes to budget decisions too, John has huge experience and great relationships with many talented crew and talent in VFX , and Post-Production, High Speed Filming, Motion Control and Animation.

He has styled print and TV ads for almost every international and well known brand. He has directed commercials for KFC, McDonald’s, SAMSUNG, ASDA, Pizza Hut, Ferrero, Candy Crush, Starbucks and more.
